To date there is a way to insure yourself in case of re-infection!
We propose you to donate blood and save your own plasma with antibodies that will help the immune system to cope with the virus in case of a recurred illness.
Donated plasma will be stored in the blood bank for up to three years without losing its immune properties.
In which cases can plasma be stored?
- at least 5 weeks have passed since the onset of symptoms of the disease
- there are currently no symptoms
It is also recommended to store your own blood components:
- when planning operations with a predictable large blood loss
- for people with rare blood groups
- for pregnant women with a high risk of bleeding during childbirth
Regarding the procedure, as well as contraindications to autodonation, you can consult with the specialists of the Center.
