2 new tests are available in EMC:
- Determination of the exact amount of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against the spike protein (S-protein) of SARS-CoV-2
- Qualitative determination of the level of immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies against the spike protein (S-protein) of SARS-CoV-2
Efficiency - 100%
Results - ready in 12 hours, urgent - in 2 hours
Method - chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA)
Quantitative determination of immunoglobulin G antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 S-protein makes it possible to assess the dynamics of the antibody increase and the strength of the immune response. It is also carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of vaccination against COVID-19.
Qualitative detection of the level of immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies against S-protein is used as an auxiliary method for COVID-19 diagnostics.
The test can be used to determine that:
- the virus has recently entered the body
- the acute period of the disease has passed, but the person is still ill
- the person has recovered/COVID-19 is absent
