The modern pentavalent vaccine - «Pentaxim», France, protects the child against the following infections:
- diphtheria;
- tetanus;
- pertussis (whooping cough);
- poliomyelitis;
- Haemophilus influenza infection.
In accordance with The Russian National Vaccination Schedule, the course of vaccination to prevent diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and poliomyelitis consists of 3 injections of the vaccine at intervals of 1.5 months, at the age of 3, 4.5 and 6 months respectively; revaccination is performed once at the age of 18 months.
If violation in the vaccination schedule occurs an intervals between consecutive regular doses of the vaccine remain unchanged, including the interval before the 4th dose (revaccination) – 12 months
