The Urological Clinic of European Medical Center has begun regular implementation of the latest non-surgical treatment technology for prostate adenoma - injection-vapor therapy using the Rezum system from Boston Scientific. The method represents a breakthrough in treating this condition, allowing patients to avoid continuous medication or traditional surgical intervention.
The first patients to undergo the Rezum procedure were men aged 68 and 69 suffering from prostate adenoma. One week after treatment, both patients are feeling well and are under outpatient observation by EMC specialists.
Injection-vapor therapy using the Rezum system is a minimally invasive treatment method for prostate adenoma, where water vapor is injected into prostate tissue. The procedure is performed without deep anesthesia and takes only a few minutes. The vapor destroys excess prostate tissue, leading to a reduction in its size and relief of disease symptoms.
The implementation of this innovative technology at EMC's Urological Clinic will significantly improve the quality of life for patients with prostate adenoma, offering effective and safe treatment with minimal risks and rapid recovery.
