In mid-November, Moscow hosted the XXVI MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON ENDOVASCULAR SURGERY - MRC RUSSIA 2024, which was attended by EMC doctors: Head of Endovascular Diagnostics and Treatment Department O.E. Sukhorukov, Scientific Director of the Department, Professor Z.A. Kavteladze, endovascular surgeons S.Yu. Danilenko, P.M. Ermolaev, and Senior Operating Room Nurse I.P. Merentseva.

Professor Kavteladze and Danilenko presented reports and participated in discussion clubs and profile committees.

The congress was attended by over 1,500 specialists from Russia and neighboring countries. Presentations from leading world specialists were broadcasted. The congress included 3 days of poster presentations, discussion clubs, and video broadcasts, including live endovascular interventions.

The first day was mainly dedicated to coronary pathology, the second day to structural heart and aortic pathology, and the third day to peripheral vascular pathology.

Senior Operating Room Nurse Merentseva participated in the nursing course: "OPERATING ROOM NURSE SCHOOL IN ENDOVASCULAR DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT": ORGANIZATIONAL ASPECTS OF NURSING STAFF ACTIVITIES IN THE CATHETERIZATION LABORATORY. The course covered work organization in endovascular departments based on examples from healthcare institutions across Russia. The sessions discussed the role of operating room nurses in high-tech endovascular interventions for structural heart pathology in adults and children, implementation of modern technologies in endovascular surgery (coronary rotational atherectomy), aortic endografting with fenestration and 3D modeling, hybrid operations on lower limb arteries, neurosurgical operations for stroke treatment, and embolization for aneurysms and other pathological conditions. The course also covered anesthesiological support for minimally invasive interventions and radiation and infection safety in the catheterization laboratory.
