In 2000 he graduated with honours from the Russian State Medical University, specialized in General Medicine. From 2000 to 2002 he took an academic residency of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences at the Bakulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery specialising as an anaesthetist and intensive care specialist. From 2000 to 2005 he studied a postgraduate degree in Therapy at the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
In 2003 he specialised as a general practitioner (family medicine) at the Department of Family Medicine of the Russian State Medical University.
From 2000-2010 he took annual ISOS BLS/ ACLS/ATLS training courses. In 2006 and 2008 he took BLS/ACLS courses certified by the American Heart Association.
Experience
From 1998 to 2002 he worked in the emergency and intensive therapy department of the Bakulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery as an intensive care specialist. He specialised in treating emergency cardiology and cardiac surgery patients.
In 2005 he was a therapist at the Therapy Department of City Clinical Hospital No.53 in Moscow. He provided routine/emergency care at the Therapy Department/ICU of the city hospital.
From 2000 to 2011 he worked at International SOS and IMC as an intensive care specialist and duty medical officer at the intensive care unit and he also specialised in providing round the clock emergency care to patients.
He was involved in organising the medical service and providing routine and emergency medical care remotely under contracts with large transnational corporate clients.
He has a great deal of experience in conducting medical evacuations both in Russia and around the world using special ISOS air medical services (and also evacuations using commercial air services), including for critically ill patients. He is highly experienced in conducting clinical examinations for large transnational corporate clients (oil and gas industry, engineering, diplomatic missions etc.
