The sensitive nature of a problem such as  incontinence  (the involuntary leakage of urine), often makes people continually postpone a visit to the doctor, despite the degree of discomfort and inconvenience the condition causes in their everyday life. At the same time, the modern  methods  of diagnosis and treatment, and the professionalism and sense of tact of doctors, allows one to get rid of this unpleasant problem permanently and with minimal discomfort.

The most modern  method  for evaluating the function of the lower urinary tract is comprehensive urodynamic testing. These  tests  evaluate the functional condition of the bladder and urethra in the filling, storing and emptying stages.

Comprehensive   urodynamic   testing  allows doctors to determine the type of  incontinence, and at the present time, is the only  method  of diagnosis that allows doctors to exclude functional urination disorders. Therefore, comprehensive  urodynamic   testing  is indicated for patients suffering from various urination disorders in order get a precise diagnosis, for patients with underlying neurological impairments, and before surgical intervention for  incontinence .

During the evaluation, special sensors are placed inside the bladder, that monitor the work of the bladder and urethra. The  urodynamic   tests  evaluate the function of the bladder during filling and emptying, measure the pressure in the urethral lumen, register the function of pelvic floor muscles, and examine the relationship between the pressure in the bladder and the flow of urine. The duration of the examination is around 30-40 minutes.

The EMC Urology Clinic uses the modern expert class MMS  urodynamic system, wih the main advantage being the accuracy and reliability of its measurements.
