In 2004 he graduated from Kuban State Medical University (KSMU). He did his residency in the department of ENT diseases at KSMU, after which he entered full-time postgraduate study.
In 2009 he successfully defended his candidate’s dissertation at the Saint-Petersburg Research Institute of Ear, Throat, Nose and Speech.
In 2010 he pursued specialization in a course on nasal endoscopic surgery at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (RMAPE) on the premises of the Medical Center of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation, located in Moscow.
In may 2012, he underwent continued specialization at the Clinica di Otorinolaringoiatria (Milan, Italy), under the leadership of Professor P. Castelnuovo, President of the Italian Society of Rhinologists, and Professor Pietro Palma, President of the European Society of Plastic Surgeons.
In November 2012 he completed an increased qualification course in endoscopic nasal surgery at the University Clinic of Graz, in Austria, under the leadership of Professor H. Stammberger.
He plans to defend his doctoral dissertation on complications and unsatisfactory outcomes of treatment of surgical diseases of the nose.
Experience
For ten years he worked as an assistant lecturer of the otorhinolaryngology department of Kuban State Medical University on the premises of the Pediatric Regional Clinical Hospital. Dr. Yakobashvili provides the full spectrum of outpatient care and elective and emergency surgery of the ENT organs.
Nasal endoscopic surgery for children and adults; pediatric otorhinolaryngology: adenotonsillar disease, nasal allergies and chronic rhinosinusitis; otologic surgery; treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.
