The DYNAGEN MINI DR device (Boston Scientific) continuously monitors the heart rhythm. When the arrhythmia occurs it carefully analyzes each episode and stops life-threatening arrhythmia firstly by means of special stimulation algorithms. If the arrhythmia is not corrected, the device produces high-energy discharge of high anti-arrhythmic effect. The device also helps in the rare heart rhythm, possessing all the capabilities of up-to-date pacemaker.
Despite small size, the device has the full range of all the necessary functions, and the battery life is not inferior counterparts. And most importantly, this is the first ICD allowing to perform MRI scans (previously cardioverter-defibrillator implantation was an absolute contraindication for this examination)!
The implantable cardioverter-defibrillator system DYNAGEN MINI DR (Boston Scientific) was implanted to a young woman due to life-threatening arrhythmias and high risk of sudden death. Today it is the smallest device in the class of similar products, which allows to use it even in patients with a small chest.
