Urbanov Alexander

2006 - present – an intensivist at the intensive care unit number 2 of the Russian research centre of surgery n.a. acad. B.V. Petrovsky. From 2007 to 2015, an intensivist at the Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Artificial Blood Circulation in O.M. Filatov SCH№15. Since 2016 - an intensivist at the Cardiology Department of the European Medical Center.

Dr. Urbanov is skilled in various types of anesthesia, anesthesia service for the whole spectrum of cardiovascular interventions of any complexity, including interventions under conditions of artificial blood circulation and complete circulatory arrest; anesthesiologic support during diagnostic manipulations that require medication sedation with the preservation of spontaneous breathing. He is skilled in the most up-to-date of intensive care and resuscitation methods. He has achieved mastery in up-to-date methods of diagnostics and treatment of critical conditions in patients operated on the heart in the settings of artificial circulation and hypothermia, such as coronary artery bypass grafting, prosthetics and plastic surgery of heart valves, congenital heart diseases correction; he has an extensive experience in postoperative management of patients with surgical interventions on the aorta and trunk vessels. He is skilled in methods of extracorporeal detoxification, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, ECMO, cardiorespiratory monitoring, modern ALV methods, including non-invasive and high-frequency ventilation.
