The Institute of Oncology at EMC is one of the most comprehensive facilities of its kind. We are always refining the most effective treatment methods to deliver the highest-quality patient care possible: from screening and diagnosis to high-tech surgical treatment and rehabilitation.
Oncology multidisciplinary group includes doctors from Western Europe, the United States, Israel and Russia, experts with extensive experience in radiology, oncology, radiotherapy, and surgical oncology, who had high quality training in state-of-the-art educational world centers.
Treatment is carried out according to up-to-date European and North American protocols developed by analyzing the effectiveness of treatment for each type of cancer.
Specialists at EMC were among the first in the country to introduce the practice of robotic surgery with the Da VinciSi HD robotic surgery system. This allowed our Institute to become a leader in the use of organ-sparing surgical techniques for the treatment of cancer.
- Early diagnosis of cancer and precancerous conditions (screening programs);
- Modern techniques to diagnose the type and stage of cancer, the distribution and to assess treatment efficacy (PET/CT, SPECT/CT);
- The most modern and effective methods of radiotherapy (IGRT, IMRT, RapidArc, Gated RapidArc) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SBRT, SRS);
- Surgical treatment, including robot-assisted surgery with the DaVinci robot;
- Individualized chemotherapy, including targeted therapy based on genetic analysis of the tumor, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy;
- Palliative care, symptomatic treatment and home care, chronic pain control;
- Quality of life preservation (chemotherapy without hair loss, preservation of reproductive function, rehabilitation);
- Psychological support for patients and their families (psychotherapists with specialized training in psycho-oncology).
