Multiple sclerosis is called a disease with a thousand faces. Symptoms of the disease are variable and can include disorders such as weakness or numbness in the arms and legs, decreased vision, unsteady gait, dizziness, urination disorders, and much more. Usually multiple sclerosis affects people aged 15-45.

The variety of symptoms makes diagnosis difficult. That is why the diagnosis can sometimes be made incorrectly, therefore, if multiple sclerosis is suspected, the most important issue is to exclude other diseases with similar symptoms.

Our center has developed a comprehensive examination program for patients with suspected multiple sclerosis. It includes consultations of different specialists and all the basic instrumental and laboratory investigations recommended by international protocols.

The investigations are carried out by highly qualified doctors with experience in leading foreign clinics, specializing in the diagnostics and treatment of multiple sclerosis.

Comprehensive examination allows to:

  • identify lesions of the brain and / or spinal cord, "active" and "inactive" foci
  • identify dysfunction of the neural pathways in the nervous system
  • exclude infectious, inflammatory and systemic diseases that can produce symptoms similar to multiple sclerosis

With a confirmed diagnosis, immediate treatment is necessary. Doctors at the EMC Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic have extensive experience in using not only standard methods of drug treatment and plasmapheresis/therapeutic plasma exchange, but also a new generation of drugs that have shown high efficiency in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
